Authentic Experiences

This course has made me think about not only incorporating ICT in the classroom but making it an authentic learning experience and I have spent time seeking out new information on how to do this. Facebook offered up many new ideas and pages to follow that gave ideas and ways to use technology that were new to me. The website Classtools has an amazing amount of ways to use technology including turning assessment into an arcade game. Students can create headlines, profiles on Fakebook and Twister, their version of Twitter, of historical figures as a way of displaying their understanding and even create text messages between characters. Check it out, it looks like it has a lot of fun ways to transform students’ learning.
